Using Big Data to Disrupt Industries and Drive Growth:
Learn from Chris how you can use Big Data to improve the way you do business and really drive a disruptive force within your industry.
Big Data is a great buzz word and the whole topic can be brilliant for a game of buzz word bingo, but what does it actually mean and is it really going to change the way we do business or interact in society. The simple answer is yes, big data will have a huge impact on both of these areas and is already making great strides into everyday lives. Simply looking at companies like Uber going from nothing to multibillion dollar valuations in just 5 years has been hugely driven by Big Data. Or consider this – your entire corporate IT estate being ran by Amazon rather than the likes of IBM? And just look at the evaporation of DVDs from the high street and being replaced by Netflix and Amazon services. Big data is driving huge commercial opportunities, massive risks to existing companies and changing the way we interact as humans. And the scary thing is we are just at the start of this big data journey.
Smart Phones Rule the World:
Mobile phones are an integral part of our everyday lives we spend more time using them or communicating through them than ever before. Chris Gobby will give insight into how smart phones are ruling the world and how you can use this to your advantage to engage with consumers like never before. Apps, web, social – Facebook, vine, Pinterest, gaming, SMS vs. chat, NFC, mobile payments etc…. the capability of a mobile device has developed more in the last 5 years than any other piece of consumer technology in the past 30 years. The key is to understand how to the demands of your consumers are changing and how you can develop your relationship with your customers through the mobile device.
Driving a Culture of Innovation to Commercial Success:
Developing innovative products vs. driving commercial success is a tough balance to strike in the corporate world.
Chris Gobby will give practical advice and ideas to push you thinking and approach to driving successful innovation. If you live and work in a world where you are only evolving step by step along a predictable path there are many ways to inject some rocket fuel into your thought process, leap frog your competition and have some fun along the way.
