Will Duffin is a doctor, adventurer and keynote speaker with over 16 years of frontline medical experience operating in some of the world’s most extreme environments.
Today’s leaders and teams are being asked to make high-stakes decisions in environments defined by complexity, uncertainty, and volatility. It is an uncomfortable space to operate in – riddled with doubt, second-guessing, imposter syndrome, and the constant fear of getting it wrong.
Dr Will Duffin, known as The Extreme Medic, has spent more than 16 years making critical decisions in some of the world’s most demanding environments.
His experience spans evacuating trekkers from the Himalayas and the Andes, managing medical emergencies aboard a moving train in Eastern Siberia, resuscitating premature babies in rural Myanmar, treating patients in the aftermath of a natural disaster in Madagascar, and serving as the lead on-screen doctor for four seasons of the hit US television series Survivor.
Alongside these extraordinary experiences, he continues to work on the frontline as an NHS GP and Emergency Department doctor, committed to achieving the best possible outcome for every patient, whatever their circumstances.
Will Duffin – Keynote Speaker
Through powerful storytelling grounded in science, evidence, and real-world experience, Dr Duffin takes audiences on unforgettable journeys – often to the edge of the map, but always to the heart of the defining moment when everyone turns and asks:
“What’s the call?!”
His keynotes equip audiences with practical tools to become the calm, dependable leaders every team needs.
They learn to remain composed in fast-moving environments that refuse to slow down, communicate clearly when others are frightened or uncertain, and make better decisions under pressure by drawing on curiosity, courage, and confidence rather than fear.
