Scott Bennett is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer whose star is on the rise!
His debut stand-up comedy show, ‘About a Roy‘, was nominated for the highly acclaimed Amused Moose Comedy Award. It was also selected as one of the top ten shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.
His comedy shows ‘Leap Year‘ and ‘Relax‘ were nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
In 2017 and 2018, Scott Bennett supported his comedy hero, Rob Brydon, on his UK tour. He has also performed as a support for Jason Manford, John Bishop and Michael McIntyre.
During the 2020 lockdown, Scott pioneered the viral hit Stand Up from the Shed. This was a weekly, topical, live-streamed stand-up show from his actual garden shed. The show garnered national coverage in the press, as well as on Sky News, BBC News, and Five Live.

At the end of 2020, Scott was voted “Best Act” at the Comics Comic Awards, a prestigious award decided by comedians and industry promoters. Previous winners include Mick Ferry, Zoe Lyons and Ian Stone.
In 2021, he recorded his debut for BBC One’s Live at the Apollo.
Scott was nominated as Best Club Comedian in the 2022 Chortle Awards.
In 2024, he performed at The Royal Variety Performance, and in 2025, he performed at the Teenage Cancer Trust charity show, both at the Royal Albert Hall.

In addition to his live stand-up comedy work, Scott Bennett is also a talented writer. He was a programme associate on First and Last with Jason Manford for BBC One, and a writer for The Chris Ramsey Show on Comedy Central.
Scott has written stand-up material for major touring acts, including Jason Manford and Rob Brydon. He has worked extensively for BBC Radio 4, with writing credits that include The News Quiz and Citizen of Nowhere, starring Daliso Chaponda.
