She speaks five languages, has lived in nine countries and holds a PhD in synthetic biology from Imperial College London and the University of Hong Kong, for which she won a merit-based scholarship to develop cancer-fighting biological nanobots.

She has published short stories, poetry and art, participated in the BBC’s award-winning Sci-Fi Thriller Podcast ‘Forest 404′, and won an honourable mention at Writers of the Future in Hollywood, L.A.
