Former England Rugby League Captain

Kevin Sinfield CBE is one of the most successful players in Super League history.

A former Leeds Rhinos and England Rugby League captain, Kevin played his entire professional career with Leeds.

He captained his club to seven Super League Championships, two Challenge Cups successes and three World Club Challenges.

His individual awards include:

The Lance Todd Trophy (2005)
The Harry Sunderland Trophy (2009 and 2012)
The Golden Boot (2012)
Member of the British Empire (2015)

He holds records as the highest points-scorer in Leeds Rhinos history, the highest points-scorer in Super League history and the third highest points-scorer in British rugby league history.

Kevin Sinfield is the only captain to lead a team to win three back-to-back Super League titles.

Following the end of his rugby league career, Sinfield switched to rugby union to play for Yorkshire Carnegie.

As a charity fundraiser, in 2020, Sinfield completed seven marathons in seven days to raise funds for ex-Leeds teammate Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. In 2021, he took on another challenge, running between the grounds of Leicester Tigers and Leeds Rhinos, a distance of approximately 101 miles, in under 24 hours.

In 2022, Kevin undertook his third fundraiser, running seven ultramarathons in seven consecutive days, beginning at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and concluding at Old Trafford in Manchester.

In 2023, Kevin pushed Rob Burrow in a wheelchair for 26.2 miles at the Leeds Marathon, creating an unforgettable moment of friendship and unity.

Kevin’s fifth challenge was in 2024—Running Home for Christmas, in which he and his team ran over 50km a day for seven days across different regions of the UK.

Kevin’s fundraising efforts have raised over £10m for the MNDA Charity.
