Craig Phillipson is an International Retail Expert and Keynote Speaker
Craig Phillipson is managing director of an international retail consultancy offering design, floor planning, consumer research, category management and implementation services to retailers and manufacturers worldwide.
Craig Phillipson began his career in retail marketing almost 20 years ago, working in senior management positions for large, multi-national organisations such as BP and Kodak. He played a pivotal role in the development of a new business case for BP, which resulted in BP’s decision to implement a series of commercial truck stops across Europe; and as franchise manager for Kodak Express, Craig achieved major sales increases across the organisation’s 300-strong UK and Ireland network.
Over the last 12 years, Craig has led Shopworks through a period of major growth, so that today, the company operates from 10 offices worldwide (Mumbai, Moscow, Madrid, Stockholm, Melbourne, Lisbon, Shanghai, Colombo and two in London) and boasts a significant client base of international blue chip companies.
The success of Shopworks is attributable to the company’s ability to translate service models into effective and profitable retail environments, producing measurable results for retailers and manufacturers. Recent projects with a well known Portuguese book retailer and a leading Turkish mobile phone retailer generated sales increases of 40% and 400% respectively.
As an international retail expert, Craig has also worked worldwide with large, well known retailers and manufacturers such as Swarovski, Sky, Apple, Sony Ericsson, The Carphone Warehouse, Boots, Nike and 20th Century Fox.
Craig Phillipson is a regular contributor to trade magazines and keynote speaker at many leading retail events across the world including: Franchise India Conference (New Delhi), The Asia Retail Conference (Mumbai), The International Russian Retail Conference (Moscow); In Retail Seminar (Dubai), The Global Retailing Conference (Arizona), Nokia Worldwide Retail Conference (Scotland), Popai Retail Marketing and Instore Communications Conference, London.
In 2009 Craig was presented with an award for his contribution to Indian retailing.
